After graduating from Waseda University's School of Education, Mr. Shimauchi took charge of launching of new divisions and rebuilding divisions with poor business results at Japanese and overseas life science companies. He has been involved in biotech venture businesses since 2005, serving as the representative director, advisor, etc. at biotechnology-related companies. In 2016, Mr. Shimauchi founded INDDE Medical, which aimed to commercialize regenerative medicine products, and in 2019 sold the business to M3's subsidiary Cosmotec Corporation. He currently serves as an Independent Outside Director of Cordeia Therapeutics Inc., a spin-out from Takeda.

What I expect of LINK-J

I expect LINK-J to realize the acquisition of 100 venture firm memberships, and the exits of 20 companies by IPO and/or M&A within 5 years.
