(Headquarters: Nagoya, Aichi; Representative Director: Hayato Watanabe; hereinafter "Crafton") today announced that they have entered into a joint research agreement and commenced collaborative research (hereinafter the "Research") on therapeutic mRNA vaccines that integrate FunPep's antibody-inducing peptide technology with Crafton's proprietary mRNA technology.

■ Overview of the Joint Research
The Research aims to create novel therapeutic mRNA vaccines by integrating FunPep's antibody-inducing peptide technology with Crafton's mRNA drug discovery platform, which includes the proprietary capping technology "PureCap®." Under the agreed division of roles, Crafton will be responsible for the synthesis of the designed mRNA vaccines, while FunPep will conduct efficacy evaluation and related studies.
