Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) will host a roundtable discussion inviting multi-stakeholders from Japan and Australia to explore the theme: “The Impact of Social Media on the Mental Health of Children and Young People and How Social Media Should Be Used in Society.”
This roundtable will bring together a diverse group of participants, including policymakers, researchers, and those most affected from both Japan and Australia-two countries that have taken different approaches to addressing this issue. With reference to Australia’s advanced initiatives, the discussion will take a cross-sectoral perspective, grounded in the latest policies, research findings, scientific evidence, and practical knowledge, to explore ways to minimise the risks that social media poses to mental health.
