Yuji Yamamoto, M.D., M.B.A

Yuji Yamamoto is a founder and chief executive officer at MinaCare, Co., Ltd. which manages over three million people health with their health insurers through health-related data analysis. He concurrently serves as an advisor of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, dedicating health care system reform. The strategic report issued by the minister of MHLW in 2015, "The Japan Vison for Health Care in 2035" is one of his works. He is also active in education through his lecture series for healthcare, business, and government leaders.
Before starting these careers, Yuji worked as a cardiologist in Japan, specialized in electro-physiology. He spent six years as a practitioner in several leading hospitals including University of Tokyo Hospital and Tokyo Metropolitan hospitals.
He is the author of several books including "Investing in Health", and the translator of "Redefining Health Care" by Harvard professor Michael Porter, and "Innovator's Prescription" by Harvard professor Clayton Christensen.
Yuji received his M.D. degree from University of Tokyo and his medical license. He is a board certified member of the Japanese Society of Internal Medicine, and holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
