Just as last year, LINK-J ran the booth at the BIO International Convention 2018 held by BIO (Biotechnology Innovation Organization), the world's largest bioindustry organization. The Convention took place from June 4 to 7 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, Massachusetts, boasting an area of 516,000ft2.

Attended by 18,289 participants, the highest number in the past 10 years, from 67 countries, the BIO International Convention 2018 hosted 46,916 partnering meetings. Moreover, it accommodated more than 1,800 exhibitors and hosted over 220 sessions of company presentations and more than a thousand speakers. Participants from a broad array of areas were brought together, among them drug discovery, genomics, nanotechnology and cell therapy.

The LINK-J's booth was located a short distance to the left of the entrance. California Pavilion, jointly run by our partner BIOCOM, was located nearby. The Japanese towels, sticky notes and other LINK-J goods were displayed at our booth and given away to the visitors as a gift. The panels set up at the back of the booth helped the visitors understand the facilities and the partners of LINK-J and its excellent accessibility, just a 10-minute walk from Tokyo Station, thanks to the simplicity of its design.

On the first day, we participated in the Welcome Reception held by BIO.
The reception had a great ambiance and we could enjoy the live jazz music and American cuisine.

During the convention, LINK-J concluded MOU with MedCity, one of the world's best-known life science/health care clusters founded in 2014 in the southeast area of England.

LINK-J and MedCity will collaborate in information exchange and planning and PR of events.

The BIO International Convention 2019 will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
LINK-J will continue to provide opportunities to connect clusters around the world with Japanese clusters by expanding its network with overseas organizations.
