Keynote Speaker: Professor Dragan Primorac, M.D., PhD
A physician － a paediatric medical doctor, a forensic expert, a geneticist. A scientist － the first Global Ambassador of Penn State University (founded in 1855), Chair of the International Affairs Committee of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS), President of the International Society for Applied Biological Sciences (ISABS), President of the Croatian Society of Human Genetics, President of the Croatian Society of Personalised Medicine. A visionary and a leader of the introduction of pharmacogenomics and personalised medicine into clinical practice.
He authored two hundred and fifty scientific papers and abstracts. He also authored chapters in 20 books. Prof. Primorac was invited speaker at 120 conferences all around the world. His work was published in most cited journals, including Science and Nature. Prof. Primorac is a former Minister of Science, Education and Sports of The Republic of Croatia. Currently, he holds a position of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the St Catherine Specialty Hospital in Croatia.
