日本医療政策機構は2025年に、脳の健康を成長戦略の中核とする提言を公表しました。2026年度は、ライフコース全体で脳の健康を捉え、それを支える社会システムの在り方について検討します。本キックオフシンポジウムでは、ブレインキャピタルを軸に、誰も取り残さない共生社会を基盤とした脳の健康への投資を実現するべく、認知症を含む脳疾患への対応や、研究・社会実装・産業展開の可能性について議論します。

[Registration Open] (Hybrid Format) Kick-off Symposium: Rethinking Social Investment in “Brain Health” (April 6, 2026)

In December 2025, Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) published a policy recommendation positioning brain health at the core of Japan’s national growth strategy. In FY2026, HGPI will examine how social systems can be designed to support brain health across the entire life course.

This symposium marks the official launch of the project. At its core lies the concept of “Brain Capital”. The symposium seeks to explore how investment in brain health can be integrated with the realization of an inclusive society in which no one is left behind. Discussions will also address neurological and neuropsychiatric conditions including dementia, as well as research foundations, social implementation, and industrial development.
