Dipl.-Phys. Niels König, Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology, Head Department Production Metrology

Niels König studied physics at RWTH Aachen majoring in solid state physics and biomedical engineering. He worked as a scientist in the Production Metrology Department at the Fraunho-fer IPT from 2007 to 2013, concentrating on the design and manufacturing of fiber optic micro probes for interferometric distance metrology and the development of customized measure-ment systems. In 2010 he became manager of the group Fiber Optics. Since September 2013, Niels König has been chief engineer of the department "Production Metrology" at the Fraunho-fer IPT.

Enno Hachgenei, Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology, Department Production Me-trology, Group Manager Optical Metrology and Imaging Methods

Enno Hachgenei, M. Sc., born in 1991, studied medical engineering at the University of Lübeck and has been working as a research assistant in the department of Production Metrology at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT since 2018. Since 2021, he is managing the group of Optical Metrology and Imaging Methods.

Michael Witte is Senior Research Manager at Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT with the focus biomedical applications (and covers all issues from research management to R&D marketing). Prior to that Michael Witte was Head Strategic Marketing at Fraunhofer Institute for Telecommunications, Heinrich Hertz Institute. A vital focus is to set up and to oper-ate new businesses in the field of Medical Technology.
