【10月27日オンライン開催・参加無料】第145回HGPIセミナー「高齢者施設におけるより良いAMR対策に向けて―超高齢社会の感染症対策を政策的な視点から考える」

日本医療政策機構（HGPI）では、医療政策のオピニオンリーダーやイノベーターを招き、さまざまな医療政策のテーマに関するセミナーを開催しています。

毎年10月1日は、国連が定める「国際高齢者デー（International Day of Older Persons）」です。日本は世界に先駆けて超高齢社会を迎え、2040年には高齢化率が35％に達すると予測されています。加齢に伴う免疫力の低下や複数の疾患を併せ持つ（multimorbidity）高齢者人口の増加により、感染症に対する社会全体の脆弱性が高まるなか、薬剤耐性（AMR: Antimicrobial Resistance）の拡大は、健康長寿社会の実現に向けて乗り越えるべき障壁の一つとなっています。国内では薬剤耐性菌による新規感染症患者の約70％が70歳以上の高齢者層であり、国際社会でも2050年までに高齢者層のAMR関連死亡が約146％増加すると推計されています。

高齢者施設等は経営形態や運営方針が多様であり、組織的かつ体系的なAMR対策・感染症対応は容易ではありません。隔離対策が難しい施設設計、職員の多様な教育背景や常勤医師・看護職員の少なさ、認知機能が低下した入所者・入居者への対応など、医療機関とは異なる特性を有しています。

本セミナーでは、感染症診療・感染制御の第一線でご活躍される広島大学病院 感染症科教授の大毛宏喜氏をお招きします。AMR対策に立脚しながら、健康長寿社会の実現にふさわしい高齢者施設等における感染症対策の在り方を整理いただくとともに、現状の課題を克服するために必要な政策的介入について幅広くご講演いただきます。

(Webinar) The 145th HGPI Seminar “Toward Better AMR Measures at Elderly Care Facilities—Considering Infectious Disease Control in a Super-Aged Society From a Policy Perspective” (October 27, 2026)

For this seminar, we are pleased to welcome Dr. Hiroki Ohge, Professor in the Department of Infectious Diseases at Hiroshima University Hospital, who works at the forefront of infectious disease care and infection control. Through AMR measures as the foundation, he will lay out what infection control at elderly care facilities should look like within a society of health longevity, and speak more broadly about the policy interventions needed to overcome its present challenges.

The seminar is held in conjunction with the International Day of Older Persons. We hope to create a space for dialogue where citizens, long-term care and healthcare professionals, and policymakers can start from the same questions, and map out new options together for securing living environments in which older people can live safely and with peace of mind across the international community, starting with Asia-Pacific countries that are now entering a period of population aging.
