May 25, 2022, LINK-J held the 26th LINK-J Online Networking Talk on the theme of "The Latest Trends in the UK Life Science Innovation Ecosystem" at the Nihonbashi Life Science Building. The event was held in a hybrid format. (Organized by LINK-J and co-organized by Oxentia and MedCity)

This time, we invited Dr. Takeshi Yura, Regional Head, Healthcare and Life Sciences at the British Embassy in Japan, Dr. Hamish Ryder, CEO of Cancer Research Horizons, and Dr. Ivana Popalic of MedCity, with whom LINK-J has concluded an MOU for partnership.

Each of the three speakers gave a lecture on the theme of "Overview of Life Science Global Hub UK and Revitalization Policy for the Future", "Fast tracking cutting-edge cancer biology into therapeutic innovations with Cancer Research Horizons" and "Introduction to MedCity and London life sciences ecosystem".

In the panel discussion that followed, LINK-J supporter, Dr. Masashi Matsunaga and President and CEO, Director of LINK-J, Akihiko Soyama joined as moderators, and a discussion was held on the theme of "What is the practice of startups for entering the UK?"

Viewers gave questions about the impact of leaving the EU and what commitments Cancer Research Horizons partners have.

A total of 205 people attended the event, both online and in person. Thank you very much for many questions and for listening.
