薬剤耐性対策における検査・診断支援体制の抜本的な改革に向けたラウンドテーブル/Roundtable on Drastic Reform of Testing and Diagnostic Stewardship Systems as Part of Countermeasures for Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)

毎年、世界では約120万人が薬剤耐性菌感染症により死亡していると推定されており、世界規模での対策が急務であるといわれています。日本では、薬剤耐性対策に対する啓発や抗菌薬適正使用に関する教育、新たな抗菌薬の開発に向けたインセンティブ制度等多岐にわたる様々な取り組みが進展しています。しかしながら、微生物検査・感染症診断においては2023年4月に改訂された「薬剤耐性（AMR）対策アクションプラン（2023-2027）」においても「戦略2.4医療機、検査機関、行政機関等における薬剤耐性に対する検査手法の標準化と検査機能の強化」が挙げられているものの、他の対策と比して議論や対応が十分であるとはいえず、今後対策の強化が期待されています。これらを踏まえ、今回のシンポジウムでは、各ステークホルダーが一堂に会し、微生物検査・感染症診断の今後の課題や目指すべき方向性について議論いたします。

It is estimated that antimicrobial resistant (AMR) bacteria cause approximately 1.2 million global deaths each year, making AMR countermeasures an urgent global issue. Measures to combat AMR span a broad variety of areas, including education and raising awareness, stewardship, and providing incentives for R&D. In the area of microbiological testing and infectious disease diagnosis, although the National Action Plan 2023-2027 which was revised in April 2023, includes "Strategy 2.4: Standardize Methods of Laboratory Testing and Strengthen Testing Functions of Antimicrobial Resistance at Clinical, Commercial and Public Health Laboratories," the discussion and response have not been sufficient compared to other measures, and there are high expectations for these measures to be strengthened in the future. In this roundtable, various stakeholders will gather to discuss the future issues and directions to be taken in microbiological testing and diagnosis of infectious diseases.
